Animal Support Awareness Programme

Animal Support Awareness Programme is a charity based in the Waterlooville area of East Hampshire. It was started in 1998 by a small group of animal lovers hoping to help alleviate the suffering of animals in the local area. We try to help any animal that is suffering, regardless of the status of its owners or whether it is stray or wild. We aim to take the strain out of caring for pets by giving financial help with spaying and neutering and free advice about worming or flea treatment. Whether you are caring for your first animal and require advice about house training or are an experienced pet owner who needs advice about veterinary treatment, then we try to help. We will try to take any unwanted animals or strays into one of our foster homes. Re-homing is a very traumatic event for any pet, therefore we aim to minimise the stress of all our rescue animals by giving them the individual ‘care and attention which can only be provided in a warm and friendly family environment. We raise most of the funds we need in our charity shop which is based in Waterlooville . Our vets bills are huge and without our charity shop we would find it hard to continue our work. As well as financial aid we also collect cans of cat or dog food to help feed all those hungry mouths in our foster homes. Cat litter is also very welcome. You can also help by visiting our charity shop, making a donation or donating a fixed monthly amount direct from your bank account. We are a non-profit-making organisation and aim to spend all the money raised on animals.
