Dear Family and Friends,Have we had an exciting day!
As most of you know, about 2 years ago, we were licensed as adoptive parents. Since that time, we've been waiting for a child. Well, around noon today, we got a call from a social worker saying they had a newborn baby for us. Needless to say, we were very excited by his call. The part we weren't expecting, however, was that he needed us to make a decision immediately because he needed to "drop him by" this afternoon. After a few rather frantic calls to each other and our case worker, we agreed.
So...
We are now the proud custodians of Alfred - born July 27, 2002. He is all of 4 lbs 5 oz and is 17." long. Here are a couple of photos.
Gosh, things certainly change quickly!
