Oscarcam!!
Well, here it is... The big Oscarcam...enjoy. I'll be working on it for a while and it may not be up very often, but you'll be able to see my fish or myself on occasion if you are persistant. Feel free to ICQ me with suggestions. About the fish: In my tank are two types of fish. The first type is a Plecostomus (the darker ones)- which are probably hiding - and the others are Oscars (the lighter colored ones)The "Pleco" is similiar to a catfish. Some people actually consider them a catfish. I'm not sure and it really doesn't matter to me. : ) The Oscars are a fish from a group known as the "Cichlids" (Sick-lids). These Oscars are actually lighter in color than their wild counterparts.(Some say that they're Albino, but that's not actually correct). Oscars are considered one of the most intelligent of the freshwater fishes. BTW - "fishes" is a word... looked it up in Webstah's big book. Anyway, many people feel that their Oscars are like an underwater puppy. Mine do respond to my presence and will take food from my hand. They will also allow me to touch them while I'm performing routine aquarium maintenance. www.oscarfish.com is a great place to learn more about these terrific pets. As is The Oscar Study Page BTW - the aquarium is a 125 gallon that uses a natural type gravel and is devoid of rooted plants (Oscars just LOVE to pull them out.) Also, the Oscars are about 12 inches in length. Well enjoy, and as I said, I encourage suggestions. *2 June, 2001* Well, I haven't been able to get the OscarCam up very much lately. Today it should be on for a few hours. If you have a "fishcam" please ICQ or E-Mail me, I'd like to see it!
