Welcome to the year 2543, the year of "Dragon." The Lao New year begins in Mid April When the moon and stars points to renewed light and fortune. The end of old year is celebrated with a possession, worship, and a time of festivities. Traditionally the lunar new year begins in Mid-April and practically the entire community comes to half and celebrates the unity of humans' community. Citizen of the communities, villages and kingdom took the vows to clean their house and spend time with their family at the temple ground. In the temple, offering of fruit, flowers, water and food are made at various alter and votive mounds of sand or stone are fashinoed in the courtyards. Later, citizen vows and dowse each another with water, a bless to purify once and aststaned from all kama.
