Working in and around the farm shop in Missouri. USA
April 27, 2012
Well I got the MF 65 diesel tractor put back together and it is running. Complete rebuild, even turned the crank. New clutch, pressure plate redone and throw out bearing. I have run it about 8 hours and it is good so far. I am doing to start on the power steering by rebuilding it. But, first I am going to put the front end back on the MF 65 GAS tractor. It is still in the shop. I traded front ends from the gas to the diesel since the gas one is in better shape. I will then probably pull the head off the gas tractor to put rings in it. It still smokes after setting for over 13 years and I have given up on unsticking the rings. Won't be long till time to cut grass hay. Since we had such a warm early spring....(it started early March). I hope you enjoy the show I put on and the music that is playing in the shop most of the time I am working.
I am located in SW Missouri USA on a 400 acre beef cattle farm.
Greetings from Missouri to you!
GOD IS GREAT!

January 18, 2012 at 04:06 amEnvious of your shop! I'm working on a '48 Farmall H that all the rear axle bearings fell apart. Caught it before it broke the case, but now have to order all new bearings! Keep up the good work! -
January 17, 2012 at 04:33 amit's good to see the old 'work horses' being fixed up and kept alive,i live in the farmland of Westport,Massachusetts, and love to see the old working farms still survive, that's what america was built on,and best of all, this reminds me of the garage we hung around drinking beers, when the work was done of course, lol,,,cheers and good luck. -
January 15, 2012 at 18:37 pmGreat Tractor and nice work. I had a Ford 9 N that I restored and used for many years. The "VIN" number on the axle said it was made in November of 1941 if I remember correctly. For getting grease off an engine you may not have heard of this tric, but Carb Cleaner usually works as well as oven cleaner and doesn't leave a residue, (I think better than oven cleaner on hydorcarbon grease and doesn't attack the paint.) Good luck, scratch the dogs for me. Bill Sawyer, West Chester, PA (www.estatewagons.com) -
