I can only run the cam by appointment. My computer is a fossil and can't do the video thing and much of anything else at the same time. Anyway, I'm back at it and should have something going soon. This site and railroad will be (continuously) under construction......... What started out to be a simple (but very long) double- track loop on a shelf around the basement, turned into 100 feet of benchwork, and to date, 300+ feet of track. Check the 'pics' button - I've posted some pictures of some of the partially scenic'd portion. With the exception of a plastic Atlas 'junction tower' that I've partially detailed and weathered, all other structures are scratchbuilt, using basswood, brass and plastic stock. The coal tipple operates remotely via miniature cables. The stonework, tunnels, bridge abutments and piers are plaster castings and the groundform is plaster/paper towel hardshell covered with fine sifted dirt. When I complete the last tunnel and surrounding groundform, I will start to model trees, forest, vegetation, and other scenic elements. As things progress, I will be adding pics. I've been using the camera to document progress anyway, so I may as well share some. I'm sorry about the quality of the pics. They do leave something to be desired. Anybody know how to make a Logitech Quickcam work better on Camarades? Well, if you're into it, check back. You never know. You may even see something moving.
