Rotating Fluids Laboratory
The working group 'Rotating Fluids' at ZARM institute is mainly interested on research of basic dynamical phenomena of complex fluid flows in rotating systems. The occuring dynamical flow structures are investigated with experimental, analytical and numerical methods. The following items are of basic interest: - Pattern formation, vortex dynamics and stability in dynamical systems - Laminar-turbulent transition and routes into chaos - Simulation of geophysical motion (e.g. atmospherical flows, convection in the liquid core) - Space Sciences and ApplicationsView all chemlab's Pictures
